1.                  The Particulars of its Organisation, Functions and Duties.

 

(a)               Name of Organisation.      Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF).

 

(b)            Establishment.Established under Section 3 of the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860 (Punjab Amendment ) Act 1957 as extended to the Union Territory               of Delhi, in pursuance of this Memorandum of Association.

(g)        Function&Duties.     The society has been established for the promotion of Mountaineering, Trekking, Sport Climbing and Allied land based adventure            activities.

 

2.              The Powers and Duties of its Officers and Employees. The President IMF, manages affairs of the Foundation and is assisted by The HonorarySecretary,
           Honorary Treasurer, Director, various Committees of the IMF and IMF Staff. The Governing Council of the IMF is the supreme decision-making body of the IMF. The
           President and the Governing Council, are elected every two years.

 

3.              The Procedure Followed in the Decision-Making Process, Including Channels of Supervision and Accountability. The IMF refers to the rules & regulations    as per approval in the Annual General Body Meeting (AGBM).

 

4.        The Norms Set by it for the Discharge of its Functions. The President, Hony Secretary, Hony Treasurer, Director and the support staff  of IMF discharge the            functions and duties in accordance with IMF Memorandum of Association & Rules (Sep 2005)

 

5.         The Rules, Regulations,Instructions, Manuals and Records, Held by it or Under its Control or Used by its Employees or Discharging its Functions. The             rules and regulations are laid down in the AnnualGeneral Body Meeting (AGBM), all records and manuals are maintained in IMF.

 

6.               A Statement of the Categories of Documents that are Held by it or Under its Control

 

(a)               Casefiles pertaining to Expeditions.

(b)               General Files of correspondences.

(c)               Annual Reports.

(d)               Files related to budget and budgetary allocation.

(e)               Activities related files.

(f)                 Files & documents related for perusal by President, Hony Secretary, Hony Treasurer, Director and staff.

 

7.            The Particulars of any Arrangement that Exists for Consultation with,or Representation by the Members of the Public in Relation to the Formulation of its           Policy or Implementation Thereof. To achieve the IMF objective of conducting adventure activities in the field  of land imparting training in the field of Land,  all the            necessary guidelines and instructions have been framed after through discussion in the various meeting of IMF .

 

8.          A Statement of the Boards, Councils, Committees and Other Bodies Consisting of Two or More Persons Constituted as its Part or for the Purpose of its           Advice and Whether Meetings of Those Boards, Councils, Committees and Other Bodies are Open to the Public or the Minutes of Such Meetings are          Accessible for Public. The IMF has taken a lot of initiative to spread public awareness about its courses and programs through their website, motivational talks and            other social networking platforms.

The IMF conducts mountaineering, trekking,              sport climbing and allied adventure with an aim to promote adventure activities and enhanced skill development in the field of land.
